Oklahoma Nursing Home Fined $1.3 Million For Allowing Sex Offender to Touch Patients.

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Kenwood Manor, a nursing home in Enid, Oklahoma, has been fined $1.3 million for failing to stop a registered sex offender working at the facility from touching patients inappropriately.

An investigation into the nursing home facility back in March found rampant inadequacies in the way the nursing home supervised a worker there who was registered as a sex offender.

Officials say that the nursing home allowed the sex offender to continually touch patients inappropriately, and failed to implement its own policies to prevent elder abuse.

The Department of Health opened the investigation into Kenwood Manor after an anonymous complaint was made to their office.
