Massachusetts Elder Care Assistant Pleads Guilty to Medicaid Fraud.

A Worcester, MA woman pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud in connection with her former job as a personal care assistant. 

According to court documents, 69 year-old Ann Hudson billed MassHealth for her elder care services on at least 12 separate occasions while her alleged patients were actually in hospitals and nursing homes.

Hudson’s fraudulent billing took place over the course of several years. Hudson kept all of the money gained through her illegal actions for personal use.

Hudson was sentenced to three years of probation on 12 counts of Medicaid fraud and 12 counts of larceny, and has been ordered to repay the $33,600 that she stole through her fraudulent scheme.
