Detectives interviewed a 90 year-old woman this past week about an alleged sexual assault last summer at her nursing home in Taylor, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan.
The woman’s daughter, who acts as her legal guardian, claims that her mother was raped at the facility.
The nursing home abuse allegations triggered an expansion of an investigation of multiple reported cases of rape at another Taylor, Michigan nursing home.
Authorities say they have not yet confirmed any abuse or elder neglect at the facility at this time, and are simply conducting a diligent investigation of the woman’s allegations.
