Missing Missouri Nursing Home Resident Found Dead.

The body of missing nursing home resident, George Macias, 75, was recently discovered in a nearby creek in Kansas City, MO.

Macias, who has Alzheimer’s, had gone missing from the nursing home just before noon this past Sunday. The search for the missing man was particularly urgent due to the recent temperatures in the area exceeding 100 degrees.

Police, along with volunteers from the Missouri Search and Rescue canine unit, discovered Macias’s dead body late Monday evening, a mere mile and a half away from the nursing home. Early indications seem to suggest that Macias had suffered a fall into the creek. Sources close to the investigation say that Macias had wandered away from the nursing home before.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, but do not now suspect any foul play.
