Estate of Deceased Resident Sues South Carolina Nursing Home.

82 year-old Pauline Cook was found dead in her shower at the Oak Bridge Terrace nursing home in Rock Hill, South Carolina this past November, just one day after she reported to the staff and local police that someone was forging her checks.

A nurse’s aide, Braquette Walton, was arrested and confessed to killing Cook and attempting to conceal her crime.

Cook’s estate is now suing the nursing home and two of its employees for her death and the subsequent cover up.  It is believed that Walton was also responsible for forging Cook’s check, which totalled many thousands of dollars.
